Located 19 miles south of Riverside and 75 miles east of Los Angeles, Perris has transformed over the past two decades from a small rural community into a booming suburban and industrial hub. The city sits astride Interstate 215, which has become the spine of the Inland Empire's logistics industry -- and Perris has leaned into that position aggressively.
On the industrial side, Perris hosts some of the largest warehouse and distribution facilities in the region. A 2.8-million-square-foot warehouse complex south of the 215 freeway is home to operations including a Home Depot distribution center. The Ellis Avenue Logistics Center adds another 631,000 square feet of Class A industrial space with 40-foot clear heights and 87 dock-high doors. Perris Gateway contributes 855,330 square feet of cross-dock space. These facilities employ thousands and drive ongoing demand for commercial electrical maintenance and tenant improvement work.
On the residential side, Perris has become one of the more affordable markets in the Inland Empire, attracting first-time homebuyers and young families. With 55 new construction homes currently for sale and 148 active communities, the city's housing stock is rapidly expanding. This new construction, combined with an existing base of homes from the 1990s and 2000s, creates a dual market for electricians: new build wiring and existing home upgrades.
